China 2002

April 22nd to May 8th 2002

Thank you to Ruth Kain for putting the following notes together.
(Scroll down for photos.)

The visit to China was the first overseas trip undertaken purely for members of the Probus Club of Frankston Heights. It was about fifteen years after the Tiananmen Square protests, and we thought of this as we walked across the Square. China, with its multitudes of people, and erratic and terrifying traffic was an eye-opener to many of us, but it also made Club members aware of the fantastic advantage of overseas travel in the company of like-minded friends.
